With a Koran book, which appeared four years after its execution by hanging in December 2006 in Baghdad for crimes against humanity, the name of the former Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, resurfaces in a strange and unprecedented way to the face of the world.
An embarrassing find not to say macabre associated with a people still marked by the scars of the former dictator, has just been made.
It consists of a book from the Koran written with the blood of the former president. The latter would have made him calligraphy, 7 years ago, with 27 liters of his own blood collected for 2 whole years.
Iraqi officials do not know what to do with this Koran written to blood letters, this “good” is imbued with symbols and strong and painful memories, especially for the calligrapher who wrote it. This poor man evokes him as a painful period of his life.
The book is currently based in a safe from the Baghdad West mosque. His fate will be decided in a few days.
