Very moved, the famous 102 -year -old French philosopher and sociologist denounced the Israeli offensive on Gaza during a literary event in Morocco, organized yesterday Thursday, February 15.
This media appearance of the great French philosopher will undoubtedly remain as one of the most striking.
“I am both bewildered and indignant by the fact that those who represent the descendants of a people who have been persecuted for centuries (…) can not only colonize an entire people (…) But in addition, after the massacre of October 7, engaged in carnage, killing women and children”.
Morin denounced in this sense the world silence in the face of the massacres committed in Gaza and in particular what he describes as indifference of the Arab countries.
“The silence of the world, of the United States protective of Israel, the silence of the Arab and European states who claim to be defenders of the culture of humanity, I think that we live a horrible tragedy, we are powerless in the face of this violence, what we have left is to testify, if we cannot resist in a concrete way,” he said on the sidelines of this literary event.
