Israel announced yesterday Monday, March 4, recalled his ambassador to the UN for consultations.
The Zionist entity accuses the United Nations of passivity against Hamas just before the publication of a report on sexual violence which would have been committed against hostages.
“I ordered our ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, to return to Israel for immediate consultations following the attempt to ignore the serious report of the UN on the massive rapes committed by Hamas and his allies on October 7,” said Foreign Minister Israel Katz.
After a 17-day visit to Israel, the United Nations Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflicts said on Monday that she herself and a team of experts had received “clear and convincing information” on rapes and sexual tortures committed on hostages captured during the October 7 attack.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has “in any case” does anything to stifle a report on accusations of sexual violence during the Hamas attacks on October 7, his spokesman said.
This same report accuses Israel of “sexual violence in the form of intrusive excavations, threats of rape and prolonged forced nudity”, against prisoners.
“The information collected will complete that already collected by other UN officials on allegations of sexual violence linked to the conflict in Gaza, with a view to possible inclusion in the Secretary General’s annual report on the issue,” it said.
