Facebook now seems accessible, after a world failure of more than an hour, which also touched Instagram and Messenger, its instant messaging service.
A major breakdown assigned all Meta services this Tuesday, March 5, around 4 p.m. In Tunisia, like all other countries in the world, Internet users were unable to access the Facebook social network and its various platforms (Instagram and Messenger).
It was neither possible to reconnect nor change the password through password recovery tools. The problem was not resolved only around 6 p.m.
The CEO of the Meta group, Mark Zuckerberg, is currently on the move to India, and no information has yet been disclosed as to the exact cause of the failure.
But according to the Frandroid site, this could be linked to Meta integration of a new European regulations: Digital Markets Act (DMA). The objective of this regulation is to regulate the market for large digital companies, such as Google, Amazon or Meta and to end the domination of the giants of the net.
The net giants must, as of March 6, 2024, comply with new obligations and prohibitions, under the regulations under penalty of heavy fines.
