According to Europe 1, the ex-president Ben Ali now lives his retirement in Saudi Arabia, accompanied by his wife and his son. French radio tried to know how Ben Ali saw his exile, far from power. A power he held more than anything.
Arrived in Saudi Arabia on January 14, Ben Ali was the victim of a stroke around mid-February who made him plunge into a coma. Restored two weeks ago, he now lives in a majestic villa belonging to the Saudi royal family.
His days, Ben Ali spends them in front of the news channels. He saw his exile badly. So bad that he did everything to keep in touch with the Tunisian ministers, and even the presidency. It was so “harassing” that the latter granted new numbers. In simple terms, Ben Ali barbed them!
