The 34th edition of Carthage Cinematographic Days (JCC) which will take place from October 28 to November 4, 2023 with its official competitions reserved as always for new artistic creation films in African and Arab countries, will honor two of these countries this year:

  • On the one hand, Senegal, the guest country of the session, and whose cinema was from the outset, a faithful companion of the Historical JCC journey, since the first “Tanit d’Or” of the festival won in 1966 by Ousmane Sembene for the film “La Noire de ..”.

  • On the other hand, Jordan, to which is devoted the “Focus 2023”, spotlight on this young Arab cinematography which asserts itself by the quality of its films and by the new dynamic set up for its support for cinema,

It is planned that the honor of these two cinematographies, which will be an opportunity to come from important delegations, is accompanied by tributes to great figures, in a program, or, alongside film screenings, will be present events linked to other cultural expressions of these two countries.
