In a gesture of support, the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT) announced on Tuesday a series of measures aimed at strengthening the preparation of Tunisian athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
According to a press release published on its Facebook page, the CNOT decided to grant a uniform encouragement bonus to the 26 qualified athletes for the event. This decision is accompanied by a financial support plan for the majority of the country’s sports federations, Olympic or not, the details of which will be specified later.
The CNOT executive office, under the chairmanship of Mehrez Boussayene, also finalized logistical preparations. The official Tunisian delegation will go to Paris on July 18 for the last adjustments to the Olympic village, followed by the first group of athletes on July 20, including the Rihab El Walid Tipper.
In an effort to lighten public spending, the CNOT has supported the purchase of tickets for the entire delegation. The Paris Olympic Games, scheduled from July 26 to August 11, 2024, will thus see a solidly prepared and sustained Tunisian participation.
