The largest square in the center of Marrakech, known to attract tourisms from everyone in the world, was struck, today, around noon, by a strong explosion killing 14 dead and 20 injured according to a provisional official assessment.
More specifically, it is in the Argana cafe, located on the Place Jemaa El-Fna, the largest square in the center of Marrakech, that at 11:50 am local time, explosions were heard, letting believe in an incident “due to the presence of several gas cylinders in the establishment”.
The thesis of the attack was then retained by the Ministry of the Interior, announced a few hours later in a press release.
