The National Télédiffusion Office has just eliminated one of the three frequencies granted to Radio Zitouna in the Grand Tunis. This abolition has been noticeable since yesterday, Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
Several listeners were unable to listen to their station. But Radio Zitouna, informed for ten days by this decision has not taken care to inform his audience to change frequency as already done by Radio Jeunes who has undergone the same measure.
According to the National Television Office, this change is part of the optimization of spectral resources management in the FM band on the Grand Tunis. This is a way of saying that the Office prepares the liberalization of certain frequencies which will be allocated to new radios on the waiting list of the Information Sector Reform Commission.
To listen to Radio Zitouna, it is now enough to point the frequencies out of 102.9 and 97.6 and youth radio on 99.4 and 96.5.
