After having brandished a Palestinian flag within the National Assembly, the reproductive France (LFI) Sébastien Delogu received an exclusion of 15 days and saw his compensation suspended.
The scene took place, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 during a question session in the government. MP LFI Alma Dufour challenged the executive on the situation in Gaza and her refusal “to sermn Israel”.
And while the Minister of Foreign Trade launched himself into his response, Sébastien Delogu got up and brandished a Palestinian flag to the applause of his group.
“By brandishing a Palestinian flag, is it finally, the president will wake up and say that you have to stop selling weapons?” Reacted Sébastien Delogu following the session suspension. “I don’t care about the sanction that the National Assembly will give me,” he added.
He received an exclusion of fifteen days from the Bourbon Palace and the withdrawal of half of the parliamentary indemnity for two months, the highest sanction permitted by the internal regulations of the National Assembly.
