The rower Mohamed Taieb finished the third round of the individual rowing test in simple skiff in fifth place.
The first place in the group was won by the Dutchman Simon Van Drop, with a time of 6 minutes, 49 seconds and 93 hundredths. Second place returned to Japanese Ruta Arakawa, with a time of 6 minutes, 51 seconds and 59 hundredths. Third place returned to the Belgian Tim Press with a time of 6 minutes, 52 seconds and 35 hundredths. The fourth place returned to the Algerian Sidi Ali Boudhina with a time of 7 minutes, 2 seconds and 94 hundredths.
It should be noted that only those who occupy the first three places of the six groups qualify for the quarter -finals, while the others go through a catch -up lap to join the qualified.
Thus Mohamed Taieb will have the opportunity to redeem himself in order to qualify in the quarterfinals of the Olympic competition, tomorrow morning, Sunday July 28, 2024.
