Towards a judicial show between the artist Khalil Hentati and the spiritual singing choir of Sidi Bou Said.
The vigilance and citizenship association of Sidi Bou Said has just initiated legal proceedings against the artist Khalil Hentati.
This complaint relates to the right to the image and is based on the fact that this artist filmed the members of the spiritual choir of Sidi Bou Said without their consent.
The complainants specify that the imposed images were taken at the Mausoleum of Sidi Belhassen in Tunis, during a visit made by the choir of Sidi Bou Said in this sanctuary.
The complainants also mention that the members of the choir have been filmed individually and that the film is currently exploited for commercial purposes, in cinematographic spaces.
Composer Khalil Hentati created a work entitled “Aichoucha” in which he goes up the traces of “traditional music” in Tunisia. This work is described as an “immersive audiovisual show”.
