The El Gouna Film Festival, including 6th edition will take place from December 14 to 21, 2023reveals its special program ” Window on Palestine “presenting a powerful collection of films plunging in the heart of Palestinian stories. This carefully elaborate selection highlights the challenges faces a resilient people, inviting the public to better understand human experiences in Palestine.
“Window on Palestine »Effective perfectly the essence of this cinematographic journey, inviting the public to look at invisible lives and unpublished stories. Through this program, largely developed in collaboration with the Palestinian Film Institute, the El Gouna Film Festival aims to amplify the non -filtered stories that deserve to be heard, offering a long -neglected voice platform. This special section underlines the festival’s commitment to support the just cause of the Palestinian people.

A discussion entitled ” Camera in crisis: a look at Palestine“” will explore the complex landscape of cinematographic production in Palestine. The session will showcase the eminent filmmakers Rashid Mashharawi, Najwa Najjar, Khalil Al Mozian and the actor of Gazaouan origin Ahmed Al Muniray, who will share their first -hand experiences, lighting the unique challenges encountered during the filming process, in particular in crisis situations prevailing in Palestine, especially in Gaza. The discussion will be hosted by Mohammed Almughanni, offering an instilement in resilience and determination of filmmakers navigating through adversity to carry powerful accounts on the screen.
