The Paris 2024 Olympic Games, officially ended last night with the closing ceremony.
A grand ceremony took place between the Tuileries Garden and the Champ-de-Mars, as well as at the Stade de France, paying tribute to the athletes, volunteers and spectators.
Zaho de Sagazan, acrobats, circus artists, breakdancers, firefighters, presented an exceptional show to mark the end of these Olympic Games. Among the other highlights, the surprise appearance of actor Tom Cruise, who made a cascade.
Regarding the results of the medals, it is the United States that finished in the lead with 126 picked up medals (40 gold, 44 silver, 42 bronze) in front of the China which was satisfied with 91 medals (40 gold, 27 silver, 24 bronze).
Japan finished on the third step of the podium with 45 medals (20 gold, 12 silver, 13 bronze) in front of Australia with 53 medals (18 gold, 19 silver, 16 bronze) and France with 64 medals (16 gold, 26 silver, 22 bronze).
Tunisia finishes in 52nd position with three medals won by Taekwondists Firas Kattoussi (gold) and Khalil Jendoubi (bronze) and the fencer Farès Ferjani (silver).
