In response to the assassination of Ismaïl Haniyeh, political leader of Hamas, the supreme Iranian guide Ali Khamenei promised this Wednesday a response against Israel.
“With this act, the criminal and terrorist Zionist regime has prepared the ground for severe punishment for itself, and we consider that it is our duty to avenge the blood of Haniyeh which was shed on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said in a statement published by the official news agency Irna.
