This side of the case concerns Bechir Akremi, former public prosecutor at the Tunis court, as well as Habib Ellouze, executive of the Ennahdha movement. Both are accused of terrorist crimes.
The accusation chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal had refused their release, ordering their referral to the specialized court to be tried.
This session will mark the official opening of prosecution in this part of one of the most sensitive politico-judicial files of the last decade in Tunisia.
