The new theatrical creation of Fadhel Jaibi is called “The Bout de la Mer” and will be presented to the public from Friday January 5 in the fourth art.
For his new creation, Fadhel Jaibi found one of the fundamentals of ancient theater: the myth of Medea as reported by Euripides twenty-five centuries ago.
From this matrix, Fadhel Jaibi made a modern staging and a dramatic stroke which through Medea, fatal and monstrous, “refers the world to its contradictions and its horrors and humanity to its inhumanity”.
The staging, the lights and the scenography are from Fadhel Jaibi. Music is a creation by Ahmed Benjemy. The performers are Salha Nasraoui, Mohamed Chaabane, Rym Ayed, Sihem Akil and Hamadi Bejaoui.
The first cycle of performances will take place over three successive days: Friday January 5 and Saturday January 6 at 7 p.m. then Sunday January 7 at 5 p.m.
“The end of the sea” is a co -production of the Tunisian national theater and the Djerba Arts Center.
