The former president of the African club, Kamel Idir, should be appointed, today, at the head of the standardization committee which the FIFA must incessantly designate at the head of the FTF. He will be assisted in his mission by Zakia Bartagi (president of the CIJF medical commission and anti-doping) and the lawyer Chedly Rahmani.
After putting an end to the mandate at the Federal Office last July, and after making the decision to appoint a standardization committee which will be responsible for provisionally directing Tunisian football, FIFA has finally found the people likely to direct Tunisian football by appointing the president and the members of the independent committee who will be responsible for the application of the roadmap set for a transitional period on January 31, 2025.
Kamel Idir, Chedly Rahmani and Zakia Bartagi were indeed designated for this heavy mission. They now make up the FTF standardization committee which would be invested this Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
Kamel Idir, a former handball player at the African club, knows the cogs of Tunisian football for having presided over CA between 2005 and 2010.
As for Zakia Bartagi, former director of the National Center for Sports Sciences and Medicine, she is now holding the position of President of the Medicine and Anti-Doping Commission of the International Commission for Francophone Games (CIJF).
The lawyer-adviser at the Court of Appeal and a referee with the Sports Arbitral Tribunal (TAS), Chedly Rahmani, completes this trio pending the appointment of two other sports figures which will complete the list of five.
