The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, praised the sustained pace of Tunisian consular services in France on Tuesday, saying that nearly 260,000 administrative and consular services have been performed since the start of the year.
Speaking during a videoconferencing meeting with the heads of Tunisian consular missions in France, held since the Consulate General in Nice in the presence of the Tunisia Ambassador to Paris, the Minister stressed the importance of this effort in the service of the Tunisian community residing abroad.
As the summer season approaches, a period marked by a strong return from Tunisians to the country, Nafti called to strengthen the efficiency and speed of the services provided. He notably insisted on the need to accelerate procedures and optimize the reception of users.
The meeting was also an opportunity to examine several avenues for modernization, including the digitization of consular services, the establishment of remotely appointment systems, as well as the development of the teaching of the Arabic language for the children of the diaspora.
Mohamed Ali Nafti reiterated the importance of better coordination between the different Tunisian institutions represented abroad, in order to guarantee quality support for Tunisian nationals and to strengthen their link with their country of origin.
