Tunisia has signed a scientific and technological cooperation agreement with China, in the fields of scientific research and technological innovation.
The signature ceremony was held in the presence of the Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Moncef Boulaïd, and his Chinese counterpart, the Minister of Sciences and Technology, Yin Hejun.
According to a statement from the ministry, this agreement aims to strengthen the level of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries, as part of a strategic partnership.
It reflects mutual recognition, by both parties, of the importance of scientific and technological cooperation in promoting common interest and sustainable socio-economic development.
The agreement reflects a shared desire to intensify collaboration through the implementation of joint research projects, the creation of common scientific and technological cooperation platforms, such as laboratories, research centers, partner institutions and shared innovation bases.
It also provides for the exchange of visits between scientists, researchers, experts and students, the organization of seminars, scientific fairs and innovation forums, as well as training activities in the fields of science and technology.
The agreement also encourages the sharing of scientific and technological documents, the transfer of technologies, as well as cooperation in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship.
