The Tunisian flag floated high last night during the opening ceremony, Place de la Concorde in Paris with the delegation led by the Champions Mohamed Farhat Chida and Marwa Brahmi, knowing that Tunisia will be present with 30 champions in four sports disciplines.

Let’s go for the Paralympic Games, which take place in the French capital, Paris, from August 28 to September 8, 24. Tunisia participates with its heroes in order to make new exploits.

After the magnificent opening ceremony Place de la Concorde, Tunisian participation begins this morning, with Achref Tayahi, Ayed Ben Youb and Maha Ounallah in Boccia.

It is a sport that does not exist in valid. The Boccia is a mixture between pétanque and curling. The origins of the Boccia, an Italian term meaning “ball”, would go back to the Greco-Roman era.

It is now practiced on a field of 12.5 meters by 6 meters by wheelchair athletes, whose handicap reaches motor or brain functions.

Serious things start for our 30 athletes (13 women and 17 men) in athletics, Aviron, Triathlon and Boccia.
