Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune was re -elected for a second term, announced the national independent elections.
More than 24 million Algerians were to vote on Saturday to elect their President of the Republic and were to choose between three candidates: Abdelmajid Tebboune, outgoing president; Abdelaali Hassani, leader of the Movement of Peace Society (MSP); and Youcef Aouchiche, senator at the head of the Front of Socialist Forces (FFS).
According to the first official figures published, Tebboune benefited from 5,329,253 votes, or 94.65% of the votes.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, congratulated yesterday during a telephone interview, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his re -election, according to a brief press release published by the Presidency of the Republic.
The Head of State wished a lot of success for the Algerian president, valuing the distinguished bonds of fraternity which bind the two countries. And to underline his firm determination to develop them further, according to the same source.
