In some regions of Tunisia, the proliferation of wild boars has become a real threat to the inhabitants and their cultures.
Traditionally, batties are organized to delight the hordes of wild boars that live in the wild. Since the revolution, these boar hunting campaigns have not been so effective.
As a result, wild boars are leaving, more and more, their natural habitat to venture into the cultivated fields.
This presence, harmful to cultures and dangerous for the inhabitants, becomes a real reason for concern. Especially in the governorates of Kairouan and Tozeur, as well as in all regions of the North West.
Not so long ago, the suburbs of Ennasr in Tunis, underwent wild boars. All the inhabitants of the region still remember the hunt for a boar which was rejected by the guards of buildings and “escorted” by local police beyond the hills of the Ennahli park.
What will be the reaction of the authorities in this new “file”? And for the anecdote, will Salafists and their sympathizers mobilize for “the sacred cause” of the slaughter of wild pigs? Or are they still under the visit of the sinister Wajdi Ghenim and his blows against Tunisian women?
