On Wednesday, a new wave of explosions of communication devices belonging to Hezbollah caused the death of 25 people and made more than 450 wounded through Lebanon, intensifying the fears of a generalized conflict with Israel.
These attacks arise on the eve of the Hezbollah chief’s speech, Hassan Nasrallah, planned today.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health has confirmed that these explosions, which were targeting talks-talkies, caused 25 dead and more than 450s injured. They occurred the same day the funeral of four members of Hezbollah killed on Tuesday in a series of explosions were held.
This attack comes after Israel’s announcement to expand its military objectives in its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, now including the northern border of Lebanon.
Simultaneous explosions of bipeurs used by Hezbollah also took place on Tuesday, killing 12 and 2,750 and 2,800 injured. According to a source close to Hezbollah, these beefs were part of a recent delivery of 1000 aircraft.
The Lebanese authorities investigate and said that these devices were scheduled to explode and contain explosive substances near the battery.
Tuesday, September 17, a series of simultaneous explosions of bipeurs across Lebanon left 12 dead including two children and between 2,750 and 2,800 injured. These bipeurs, used by Hezbollah, were said to have been sabotaged by Israel, according to accusations of the Lebanese Shiite movement.
Hezbollah accuses Israel of having hidden explosives in bipeurs they had acquired in Taiwan, more specifically from the Gold Apollo company. These explosives were reportedly triggered remotely.
