Tunisia supported the Palestinian resolution at the United Nations General Assembly, calling for the implementation of the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (CIJ) on the legal consequences of the Israeli occupation in Palestine. The resolution was adopted by 124 votes.
Ambassador Tarek Ladeb praised this opinion as a historic moment and urged the international community to take concrete measures to ensure its application. He also insisted on the need for immediate action against Israeli war crimes, stressing the urgency of responding to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Tunisia has reaffirmed its commitment to the inalienable law of Palestinians to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with al-Quds for capital.
