The port of La Goulette welcomed two cruise ships yesterday carrying nearly 9,500 tourists from various horizons, including Europe, America and Asia. This stopover is part of the regular circuits of cruises to Tunisia.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts, passengers visited several emblematic sites of the capital and its suburbs, including the National Museum of Bardo, the Médina de Tunis and the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Saïd.

These excursions have enabled visitors to discover the richness of Tunisian historical and cultural heritage. The ministry also stresses that this crowd has contributed to boosting the local economy through various tourism services, such as transport, guides, craftsmen and traders.

Tunisia plans to continue the reception of cruise lines as part of a national strategy aimed at strengthening the role of tourism in the economy, diversifying the tourist offer and attracting customers with a strong purchasing power.
