Tunisia: salivary tests to detect drugs soon in public space

After the breathalyzers, make way for anti -drogated tests. Colonel Sami Saoudi has announced the next deployment of fast saliva tests in Tunisia. These devices will make it possible to detect the consumption of narcotics, including outside the road frame.

The result in a few minutes

During an intervention on Mosaic FM, Colonel Sami Saoudi, spokesperson for the National Observatory for Road Safety, revealed that Tunisia is preparing to introduce new drug tests. These are salivary tests capable of quickly detecting the presence of stunning substances in the body. The result is obtained in just a few minutes.

These devices will complete the ethylots already used to control the alcohol level in drivers. According to the colonel, their use will not be limited to road controls: they will also be applied in public space in the broad sense.

Tunisia faces an upsurge in drug consumption offenses, including young people. The authorities seek to strengthen the means of control to prevent risky behavior, especially behind the wheel. These saliva tests are part of a wider road safety policy and the fight against addictions.

New generation bloodswoman

In the same context, Colonel Sami Saoudi, announced on July 17, the upcoming deployment of electronic blood alcohol detection devices across the country. These are intelligent devices for immediate controls, new generation blood tests, offering a quick and precise measurement of the alcohol level in the expired air and providing an instant result.
