The Tunisian champion, Walid Ktila, a paralympic champion several times, aimed at gold during the final of the 100m T34 at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. He will be satisfied with the silver medal.
The world champion and paralympic Walid Katila won, today, Monday, September 2, 2024, the silver medal in the 100 -meter T34 final at the Paralympic Games which are currently taking place in Paris.
Walid Katila traveled the distance in 15.09 seconds, after strong competition with Thai Chaiwat Rattana, who won gold by establishing a new Paralympic record.
It was this same opponent who preceded Walid Ktila yesterday at the Stade de France, during the semi-finals of the 100m T34. The Tunisian had finished secondly with a time of 15.09 seconds behind the Thai.
Walid Ktila was the big favorite of the event. In 2021, he won two gold medals at the Paralympic Tokyo-2020 games, one in the 800 m (T34) and one per 100m (T34).
Recall that it is the fourth medal for Tunisia. Raoua Tlili had opened the Tunisia counter at the Paralympic Games by winning the gold medal in the F41 category of the weight throw.
Maroua Brahmi also won the gold medal at the Massue throw (F32) by succeeding in a 29.00 m throw. As for Ahmed Ben Moslah, he won the silver medal in weight throwing (F37) with a 15m40 throw.
