During the night of Monday to Tuesday, the famous mausoleum of Sayda Manoubia which is in Manouba was the subject of a real sacrilege. Five individuals broke into the mausoleum to fire it using a fuel product.
An investigation was diligent to arrest the five criminals who, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry, stole two rings and a mobile phone belonging to the women who live in Zaouia. We also “deplored” the flight of a sheep and two goats which were in the garden of a house adjoining the mausoleum.
It should be noted that this offense relating to a sacred aspect of Tunisian culture constitutes a serious attack on a highly symbolic figure and mysticism and feminism. Sayda Manoubia is indeed considered to be a pioneer of feminism.
A little later, still in the commune of Manouba, a robbery was recorded whose employees of a service station were victims. On the way to the bank where they were to give the sum of 148 thousand dinars, the latter were indeed attacked by three individuals, which to accomplish their hold-up, used tear gas and white weapons.
