The month of Ramadan is very fast approaching, and with him, the traditional selection of television soap operas that captivate spectators throughout the sacred nights. It is a time awaited impatiently, a period when households come together to share moments of entertainment, reflection and sharing. This Ramadan, like each Ramadan, I immerse myself with enthusiasm in the selection of the soap operas not to be missed.
For a few years now, I have gotten affection for this tradition, especially thanks to the Facebook Pink Popcorn groupan exclusively female community where we share our impressions and our emotions around the soap operas. It is as if we were a large group of friends gathered to savor every moment of these television productions every moment.
For this year, my first selection focuses mainly on Egyptian soap operas, and as a criterion, I favored the reputation of directors and certain main actors whose professionalism has often been a guarantee of quality.
Bedon Sabeq Enthar
Directed by the Grand Hani Khalifa, this soap operator features the talented Aicha Ben Ahmed, our Tunisian national pridewhich promises a remarkable interpretation. The previous works of Hani Khalifa have accustomed us to a subtle narration and with deeply human characters, which suggests an experience rich in emotions and reflections.
Synopsis : History revolves around Majed and Leila, a couple waiting for their first child, faced with multiple challenges.
Al hashashin
Directed by Peter Mimi, who has already kept us in suspense for three Ramadan with his soap opera Al Ikhtyar 1, 2 and 3,, Al hashashin promises a total immersion in a tumultuous time when political intrigue and power struggles were common. With a distribution of talent and sumptuous decorations, this series promises to be an epic epic not to be missed.
Synopsis: This series takes place in a historical context, in the 11th century, highlighting the leader of the assassins, Hasan Al Sabah, and his notorious group.
Masar Egbary
Under the direction of the talented director Nadine Khan, this soap opera promises a thrilling plot, mixing suspense and action. His unique artistic approach and his commitment to authentic stories make it a work to watch closely.
Synopsis : Two young men, Hassan and Hussein, discover a dangerous secret that upsets their lives, leading them on a thrilling trip.
Embratoreyet meem
Adapted from the work of the great writer Ihsan Abdel Quddous (1919 – 1990) this soap opera offers a poignant exploration of the challenges of parenting and mourning. Will this soap opera be competing with the emblematic film, adapted from the same novel, and featuring Faten Hamama? Only viewing will tell us, but the promises are great.
Synopsis: After the death of his wife, Mokhtar finds himself responsible for their six children, juggling between his own feelings and the needs of his family.
Kamel El Adad +1
I hope this season two will be as hilarious as the previous year, Kamel El Adad +1 will invite us to laugh and think about modern family dynamics. With its intelligent humor and endearing characters, this series promises unforgettable moments of entertainment.
Synopsis: This comic series follows the tribulations of a recomposed family, which welcomes this year, the arrival of a newborn baby.
Farawla
Directed by Muhammad Ali, Farawla is an opportunity to find the great actress Nelly Karim in a comic role, as in 100 Wich 4 years ago.
Synopsis: The story revolves around Farawla, a coffee reader and daughter of a property goalkeeper, who rises from poverty to become a celebrity of social media. Its ascent is filled with comic situations when it becomes an influential figure in society and an energy expert.
RAHM SALLET
Directed by Tamer Nady, with actor Eyad Nassar in the main role.
Synopsis: In a dramatic and captivating setting, the series addresses the subject of the use of gestation for others, through the story of an anesthesiologist named Hospals and his wife Leila.
Ward
Directed by Shady Abu Shady, with actress Hanen Metawea in the main role.
Synopsis: The events of the series take place in a social context where Ward is faced with multiple pressures and difficulties. She falls in love with two men, one being a businessman and the other a lawyer.
These last three leaflets promise to offer remarkable performances on the part of their main actors, as well as captivating intrigues which will certainly be able to enchant the spectators.
Regarding the Tunisian Ramadanesque serials, the information available is unfortunately very limited. We will have to discover them as you go from the start of the month of Ramadan. However, we already know that a second season of the magnificent soap opera Faujah, produced by Sawsen Jemniis planned, arousing the fervent expectation of spectators who are impatient to find the characters they appreciated so much last year. In addition, on Facebook, director Abdelhamid Bouchnak announced his soap opera Ragouj. However, no synopsis was unfortunately published for these two soaps.
Of course, this selection is only the beginning, and it will evolve over the days, according to discoveries and recommendations. But one thing is certain, Ramadan 2024 promises to be rich in emotions and television discoveries, and I can’t wait to share this adventure with you all and with my Pink Popcorn friends.
