The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ali Nafti, exchanged this Monday, June 16, 2025 with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, about the latest geopolitical developments in the region. According to an official press release, the two diplomats highlighted the urgency of reinforced Arab and Muslim coordination, in order to anticipate the risks weighing on regional and international stability.
During this exchange, Tunis and Cairo reaffirmed the solidity of their bilateral relations and expressed their common desire to intensify cooperation on the diplomatic, economic and security levels, in anticipation of future deadlines between the two capitals.
This conversation comes as Egypt is criticized for refusing the Soumoud caravan the passage to Gaza via its territory, forcing Maghreb volunteers to announce their return.
