At a conference organized by the Iranian Embassy in Tunis, the Iranian ambassador, Mir Masoud Hosseinian, reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
Hosseinian denounced the allegations according to which Iran would have abandoned this cause, qualifying them as “myths” propagated by certain individuals, without naming them, in the context of the assassinations orchestrated by the Israeli occupation.
The diplomat said that Iran, despite provocations, had patient in the face of Israeli violence. He insisted that the Iranian response, which targeted the heart of the Israeli entity, was a significant response, stressing that the media tumult that followed was a sign that this response had reached its goal.
Hosseinian also mentioned that the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs was visiting Lebanon at the time of Israeli hostilities, which, according to him, testifies to Iran’s commitment alongside the Resistance.
Finally, he recalled that the first anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa storm” initiative, which marked a renewed interest in the Palestinian issue, was at a time when some believed that this cause was forgotten because of the wave of normalization of relations between Israel and certain countries.
