Noticed for his performances with the Turin team, Salvatore Schillaci made his Italian team debut a few months before the opening of the 1990 World Cup. During the competition he created the sensation by becoming top scorer in the competition with six goals scored, and driving Italy in third place.
With the Italian selection, he will have only played a season with 16 selections and 7 goals.
