Tunisia is about to launch a Tuniso-Chinese project for organic drugs. This partnership associates the Ministry of Health with the Chinese company Zy Crospecialized in organic treatments and clinical research.

The Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, received a delegation from this company. Tunisian expert Moez Ben Ali, cancer medication specialist, was also present, alongside several executives from the ministry.

The discussions focused on the creation of a production site in Tunisia. The factory will manufacture organic drugs as well as medical equipment. The project targets the African and Middle Eastern markets. This is the first implantation of Zy Cro in the region.

The Minister underlined Tunisia’s desire to welcome this type of project. He insisted on the importance of technology transfer and strengthening health sovereignty. The country has, according to him, human resources and the necessary framework to succeed.

This Tuniso-Chinese project for organic drugs could open new perspectives for the local pharmaceutical industry. It would also promote job creation and the development of medical research in Tunisia.
