The situation prevailing in Libya for weeks has pushed government, organization and civil society to prepare an emergency plan in order to cope with a massive flow of refugees from Libya.
This emergency plan in anticipation of a possible massive flow of refugees from Libya, in the coming months, was drawn up, this Tuesday, August 19, in Tataouine, during a meeting between representatives of specialized international organizations, including the United Nations Refugees Agency (UNHCR), the regional administration and civil society.
Four commissions responsible for the protection of refugees, in particular children and people with specific needs, the development of reception centers and the supply of food and medical care were trained in this context.
Participants identified the human and material resources available and reviewed the shortcomings to avoid 2011 experience. The commissions in question have started their action on the field since Wednesday, reports the TAP agency.
