The former NSA consultant (National Security Agency) does not stop drinking the world press of his revelations on the methods of his ex-employer.
Indeed, the American daily New York Times has just published extracts from a PowerPoint presentation, used by the NSA in 2011 for internal use and presented as a secret top, baptized: “Image does everything”.
These documents revealed by former consultant Edward Snowden, now a refugee in Russia, demonstrate that the American organization intercepts “millions of photos per day”, including around 55,000 to clearly identify a face.
And the journal explains that “the agency is looking for faces, iris, fingerprints, in order to be able to find a sought after person. She also seeks to be able to identify, thanks to these photos, where such a person has traveled, who she met, what is her professional and friendly network, etc … ”
These images would be recovered in emails, emails, texts, but also on social networks, thanks to video-conference tools, or even in the databases of photos used by the administrations of foreign countries!
In addition, Edward Snowden, currently refugee in Russia, and whose right of asylum ends at the end of August, formally made an asylum application in Brazil, announces AFP.
