Altercations broke out, in the evening of Wednesday, April 29, in Tamaghza (governorate of Tozeur) between a group of inhabitants and the security forces, reports this Thursday, April 30, the TAP agency.
These altercations took place after the arrest of five people accused of aggression and attempted assassination of a police officer yesterday.
Police post attacked
According to eyewitnesses “the security forces made use of tear gas bombs and summons to disperse the demonstrators who gathered in front of the delegation headquarters and blocked the public road with fire tires”, adds the TAP.
A security source said that young people attacked the multidisciplinary Tamaghza police station and that two police officers were injured.
