The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued, this Thursday, November 21, 2024, arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, the former Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant and the chief of the armed branch of Hamas Mohamed Deif.
“The Chamber has expressed arrest warrants against two individuals, Mr. Benyamin Netanyahu and Mr. Yoav Gallant, for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed at least from October 8, 2023 until May 20, 2024 at least, the day when the accusation filed the requests for arrest terms,” said the ICC in a statement, adding in another state Mohammed DEIF.
As a response to this announcement, the Zionist entity said that the ICC “lost all legitimacy” with its “absurd” arrest terms. “It is a dark day for (the ICC), which lost all legitimacy to exist and to act,” wrote the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Saar on his account X. As for Hamas, he welcomed “an important stage towards justice”.
Mohammed Deif is suspected of war crimes and crimes against humanity, but according to Israel, he was killed by a strike on July 13 in the south of Gaza, while Hamas denies his death.
