According to the Union of Tunisian publishers, the 38th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair is experiencing a low crowd.
His treasurer, Bechir Marzouk, believes in this sense that this exceptional edition has marked an organizational success, but was marred by some irregularities, especially in terms of advertising and promotion.
Speaking in media statements, Marzouk stressed that the fair experienced a very low crowd compared to previous years, which affected the sale rate.
The treasurer of the Union of Tunisian publishers said they asked for an extension of three days for the Fair, a request that was refused.
He also called for the need to examine all the irregularities of this edition and to work to overcome them in the years to come.
