Two children and a woman, all three Tunisians, lost their lives this Friday, August 22, in the sinking of a pleasure boat in Hammamet, the spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior Mohamed Ali Laroui told the TAP.
Six passengers saved
The National Guard and Civil Protection units managed to save the other six passengers, who were present on the boat.
A judicial investigation was opened to know the causes of this accident.
A pleasure vessel is designed for a commercial activity. Passengers carrying out a tourist or sporting navigation are on board, under the responsibility of the owner, its representative or its attendant, itself on board.
