The mixed regional control teams noted 37 offenses this Saturday on the beach of Ghar El Melh (Bizerte governorate), as part of a vast surveillance operation carried out at the opening of the summer season.

According to Sami Bejaoui, Regional Director of Commerce, the offenses observed are distributed between economic violations-the vast majority linked to the non-affiliation of prices-and health offenses. The campaign also included security control operations.

This action is part of a special control program aimed at supervising the start of the seaside season and preventing overruns in the commercial and tourist spaces installed by the sea. It was led by the regional trade department in coordination with the governorate services, the local delegation, the municipal guard, the maritime zone and the national health security.

Other control campaigns will be intensified in the coming days, covering all the beaches of the Bizerte governorate. Administrative and legal sanctions are provided for in the event of a recurrence, said Bejaoui.

In addition, the manager assured that all the arrangements have been taken to guarantee the supply of the various areas with basic and basic necessities, in anticipation of a significant influx of vacationers within the framework of internal tourism, as well as the return of Tunisians residing abroad.
