The Gaza Strip undergoes intense bombing that aggravates an already catastrophic humanitarian situation. Among the targets, Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya was struck for the fifth time in a few weeks, injuring three medical staff. These attacks on vital infrastructure bear witness to a dramatic climbing of the conflict.
In the center of Gaza, the Israeli strikes destroyed residential buildings in Deir El-Balah, causing human losses, while in the Refugee camp in Bureij, tents sheltering inappropriate families have been reduced to ashes. These events illustrate the violence that is indistinctly affecting civilian and infrastructure.
Since the start of hostilities on October 7, 2023, Israeli bombings have left 44,502 dead and 105,454 injured among the Palestinians. Despite the scale of the crisis, humanitarian aid remains largely insufficient. Yesterday, Israel authorized the entrance to 122 trucks, including seven fuel managers. These figures are significantly lower than minimum needs to meet the current disaster.
The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, denounced a blockage of the aid which he describes as “scandalous”, pointing a problem of political will rather than logistical.
In parallel, the population of Gaza faces massive food shortages. The infrastructure destroyed and the blockade suffocate any hope of short -term raising. This situation, left without solution by the international community, is bogged down in a cycle of destruction and despair.
