Ons Jabeur announced on September 16 that his season was over due to a persistent shoulder injury. She had clarified that her return to the courts will be done in Australia, on the occasion of the first Grand Chelem of next season.
At forced rest because of his injury, Ons Jabeur lost several places in the WTA ranking. It is now 42nd.
