This Friday, July 25, 2025, the weather deteriorates sharply over fifteen governorates. Sobhi Ben Ahmed, an engineer at the National Institute of Meteorology, warned on Mosaic FM that violent winds, thunderstorms and a hectic sea are to be expected. This situation is due to a change in air currents, which will cause unstable time until the end of the weekend.
According to the engineer, very strong winds will blow from the morning, with gusts that can cross the 100 km/h. These winds will be accompanied by scattered showers, especially in the western regions of the north and the center. Some eastern areas will also be affected. From noon, temperatures will climb in the majority of regions.
The tilting of air to the north will promote the formation of thunderstorms. They will start north, first touching Tabarka and Bizerte, before winning Tunis, the Sahel region, then certain areas of the South.
At sea, caution is also in order. From 11 a.m., the sea will become agitated off Tabarka, Bizerte, Tunis and Hammamet. She will then go to a very disturbed state at the end of the day, making navigation dangerous.
As of Saturday, the situation will experience a clear change. Temperatures will drop by around 10 degrees, reaching between 26 and 28 ° C in the north and on the coast. The winds will remain supported, and the sea will remain strongly agitated. The swimming will thus be not recommended, even prohibited, throughout the weekend.
