As part of the Investmed project, which aims to support entrepreneurs in the Mediterranean in the green economy, the blue economy and the cultural and creative industries, the partner Lumsa produces coaching and mentoring sessions in Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon.
In the commune of Sakiet Ezzit, a collaboration between different organizations and stakeholders within the Reusemed project led to the creation of seven reuse circuits for different types of waste. These circuits include food, clothes, baby toys, etc.
Even if they are promoted by local administrations in charge of waste management with the involvement of local organizations, the Reusemed project provides that the reuse networks, established in four cities in Spain, Italy, Jordan and Tunisia, will become autonomous in the medium term, when income from sale of repaired products can finance human resources and the maintenance of infrastructures.
It is to be hoped that other cities in the country will benefit from this project to instill the culture of re -use of younger generations.
