Tunisia strengthens its vocational training offer in innovative and carriers. Since December 2024, the Zarzis vocational training center has launched its first training session in the technician specialty in underwater works. A pioneer initiative which initially targets 75 young people in civil service, before the opening of a second session scheduled for next September.
Invited this Tuesday, June 24, 2025 on national radio waves, Colonel de la Marine Mourad Dhouibi praised this training as a major advance in the Tunisian Landscape of Skills. On the occasion of the celebration of the 69th anniversary of the creation of the national army, he presented the center as a “model and promising” institution, capable of bringing real added value to the job market and the national fabric of vocational training.
The training, which is spread over two years, is based on important logistical and technical means made available to young beneficiaries. Objective: to guarantee them rapid and effective professional integration in a strong demand sector, both national and internationally.
In addition, Colonel Dhouibi has announced that it is planned, in a next step, to also open this specialty to civilians. The latter will be able to take advantage of the equipment and the expertise of the center to acquire a rare and valued know-how.
This initiative is part of the national strategy for diversifying professional training and adapting to new labor market requirements, particularly in specialized technical fields.
