A study by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) shows that consuming more than 400 milligrams of coffee (around 4 espressos) per day may be dangerous for health.

Limiting yourself to 400 milligrams of caffeine per day, all drinks and food containing it is not worrying for the health of a healthy adult and who does not expect children, according to this study.

Pregnant women who do not exceed 200 milligrams of caffeine per day do not encourage health risk. Women wishing to breastfeed can also consume up to 200 milligrams of caffeine per day without their child having a problem.

For the youngest, the study recommends limiting the consumption of caffeine to 3 milligrams/kilos.
