The swimmer Ahmed Jaouadi lived a year 2024, full after his consecration at the world swimming championships in a 25 -meter pool, in Budapest.
Barely a year ago Ahmed Jaouadi was still only a hope among so many others. He has, since he has taken several stages which led him to the title of world champion in Hungary.
At 19, Ahmed Jaouadi is the rising star of Tunisian swimming. The one who dominated the French Junior Championships at all levels, participated in the last Paris Olympic Games 2024. But before, he had made his big world debut at the world swimming championships.
Specialist and double African champion at 400 meters and at 1500 meters freestyle, Ahmed Jaouadi is installed in Grenoble in France where he was dismissed at the Grenoble Alp’38 club.
The new prodigy of Tunisian swimming won, Tuesday, December 10, the gold medal at the world swimming championships in a small pool in Budapest during a thrilling final of the 1500 meter freestyle, dominating its opponents. With an impressive chrono by 14’16 ”40, Jaouadi took over the German Florian Wellbrock (14’17” 27) and the Turk Kuzey Tncelli (14’20 “64).
After having missed his race at the 400 -meter freestyle, he brilliantly won the bronze medal in the 800 -meter -free event with an impressive time of 7’31 “93, ranking 3rd behind the Hungarian Zalan Sarkany (7’30” 56) and the German Florian Wellbrock (7’31 “90).
These two medals mark an important step in his career and Ahmed Jaouadi can now dream of an Olympic title and join his elders Oussema Mellouli and Ahmed Hafnaoui.
