The association of protection and sustainable development of the green zone of El Menzah 7 deplored that a parking lot belonging to the public space is occupied and deteriorated by clods of land and backfill.
Indeed, an entrepreneur having obtained a site in a villa near the parking lot, stored his land on the public space without worrying about the disturbance he could cause.
He put his earth in front of the wall built and decorated by the association a few months ago. The entrepreneur even wanted to use the parking lot to store his equipment there, which was quickly prevented by the inhabitants of the neighborhood.
On its Facebook page, the association reported these deterioration, supporting photos, and through desolation statutes:
(quote_box_center) Here is the result when you consider public space as a private property, when you have no respect or gaze for all the efforts made in order to preserve a semblance of civics in our neighborhoods. Here is how neighbors behave only with their own interests. (…) We do not understand how the semi-trailer broom was able to place a dozen lots of earth, several tens of tons of earth, in the wall that we built barely two months ago … (…) It was enough for this illegal occupation of the parking lot to take place!
