On July 9, 2025, Enfidha-Hammamet Airport hosted the inaugural flight of the Air Horizont company. This direct link from Porto reinforces connections between Tunisia and Portugal, at the opening of the summer season.
A first arrival greeted with great fanfare
Wednesday evening, a 149-seat Boeing 737-400 plane landed on the Tarmac d’Enfidha. It was the very first flight operated by Air Horizont between Porto and Tunisia.
For the occasion, the airport teams organized an official ceremony, marking the launch of this new line.
A weekly link for summer
The company will ensure a flight every Wednesday, from July 9 to September 10, 2025. This frequency responds to a targeted request: facilitate access to Tunisia for Portuguese tourists during the holidays.
This choice is part of a joint desire to energize traffic towards the Tunisian coast.
A strong signal for the air sector
With this new service, Air Horizont becomes the second company to connect Portugal to Enfidha, after Tap Air Portugal.
This shows an increasing confidence of European carriers in the Tunisian tourist potential.
An expected impact on local tourism
Thanks to this flight, the Sahel and Cape Bon regions should attract more visitors. These two areas, much appreciated by European tourists, thus benefit from better accessibility.
In addition to supporting tourism activity, this link will help strengthen the regional economy.
